Beef Crap-oganoff

So i was in the mood for my all time favorite food: beef stroganoff... so i decided since i didn't have meat, i would just make it without it! Well, something somewhere went terrible wrong and it ended up tasting horrible! It made me want to throw up! My mom tells me that it could have been the off brand cream of mushroom (she says it really does make a difference... and i'm starting to believe her!). I really hope my favorite food has not been tainted... i'm not sure i'll ever attempt this again! I'll only get it when i go home... =( No, this is not beef stroganoff... that went down the drain... i had to eat toast and eggs instead!

Yeh, that off brand soup is crap. Sometimes I make Hamburger Helper with no hamburger. Suny thinks I'm crazy and would rather eat nothing. Oh well, more for Nicole and I. (Kati eats nothing).

Thanks, Lisa. It helps Ashley to hear things from sources other than her mother for her to believe. ha ha You can only buy Campbell's soup. It matters. But I also told Ashley that the BEEF in "beef stroganoff" also makes a difference - and burning the butter. ha ha On a good note - I like your plates. And you made some good-looking scrambled eggs.

That stinks! That must have been a bummer to make all that food...and then it be gross. Well, now you can laugh at yourself.

It is okay to make gross food when your first married...you can live on love!! okay that's stupid but I made beef stew my first month of marriage...I didn't have any beef or vegetables so it was diced watery tomato soup. Bryan just said it was different. I finally put it over rice..didn't help, I wasted tomatos and rice. Your eggs are awesome...white plates..excellent choice..that's what I have.

Karen's comment was funny. That's what Larry always says to me when he doesn't like what I make, "It's different." ha ha We all make huge kitchen mistakes. Remember the orange crub with hair in it? ha ha

oh i still cringe about you dropping the noodles on the floor and putting them back in the pot... and then while we ate the orange crud we found dog hair in every bite! GROSS! Although i have made orange crud and brad really likes it (without hair of course).

Thanks, Ash, I was trying to be subtle about my orange crud. Now you have blabbed to the whole blogging world. ha ha

Toni- that is so gross! I made chicken and rice once and didn't realize I was supposed to add water to the rice while it baked with the chicken. My dinner guests laughed at me.

My orange crud was gross. I had to throw it out. I spilled the macaroni on the floor and just swept it up. I figured it would boil in the pot and be cleaned. I didn't realize hair doesn't strain. ha ha It really was gross.

Ashley, you poor girl...having a disaster making "beef stroganoff." I guess you are hungry for Grandpa's beef stroganoff. The next time we have the Lees kids to dinner, I promise we will have beef stroganoff...this will be in about 2 or 3 Sundays away...I will let you know. John (grandson) is flying in this Wednesday nite from So. California, so next Sunday we are just going to have John, Andrew..and Andrew's roommates (as Andrew's birthday is this week. We decided not to have EVERYONE on the same Sunday anymore, because we really don't get to visit much. Ashley, don't feel bad about learning to cook...after we were married (58 years ago),the first meal I cooked for Mike was horrible, and we didn't have a garbage disposal back then, so I had to flush it down the toilet!!!

ha i can't wait for grandpa's beef stroganaff either! And mom, it still makes me gag about the orange crud! Pulling long pieces of hair out of my mouth, oh man that was so disgusting, i dont' think i have ever had it from you since then. Happy early birthday to andrew!
